I’m Joe Maxwell, a former SEC Champion, two-time All-American, and top 75 track and field athlete worldwide. I earned a full-ride athletic scholarship to the University of Tennessee, competing at the highest levels in collegiate sports. Growing up on Manitoulin Island, a remote rural island in Ontario, I was self-coached in high school. My parents and I navigated the complex recruiting process on our own. Despite ultimately earning the scholarship, the process was incredibly confusing and stressful. It would've been much easier if we’d had an experienced guide to help us.

That’s why I created College Throwers Academy—an online community that supports athletes and their families in achieving college scholarships. My mission is to help others access the same life-changing opportunities without the guesswork and stress that often come with college recruiting.
